The Art League of Ocean City presents their Sand Castle Home Tour on September 18th and 19th. This is a fun and convenient way to see ten of the most ornate and elaborate homes overlooking the ocean and bay. That Thursday also kicks off OC’s Sunfest Festival at the Inlet- Sunfest is a national recognized festival featuring four days of music, food and arts and crafts exhibits and sales. Halloween is a massive event at the beach! The best Costume parties are at Seacrets and Fager’s Island- each gives away major cash and vacation prizes for a variety of costume categories. If you’d like to see a wonderful Halloween parade, we recommend the Sea Witch Festival in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
The Holidays are lovely at the beach and Ocean City Maryland goes all out with their Winterfest of Lights display at North side Park. A train takes you around the well lit up and decorated lake and afterwards you can warm up in a heated Christmas pavilion and have a picture taken with Santa Claus over a glass of hot chocolate.
New Year’s Eve is the last signature event of the year. Ocean City has a giant Beach Ball drop on the sand and the bars go all out until four in the morning. Seacrets and Fager’s Island are the best spot for the younger crowd and the Ocean Club inside the Clarion is the place to be for the Motown crowd.
